:: The herbarium of Taiwan Forestry Research Institute ::

    TAIF, the Herbarium of Taiwan Forestry Research Institute, was built in 1904 in Taipei 
Botanic Garden and was later moved to a new building beside the Garden in 2000.

    It is the oldest and largest herbarium in Taiwan, preserving more than 250,000 sheets
of specimens, with about 1,700 type specimens included. 

    More than half of the specimens have been databased, and digitized information can 
be referred to at  TAIF website .
